Adam Crouch Inspires Year 5 Students Ahead of Lead Adam Crouch Inspires Year 5 Students Ahead of Leadership Day

In preparation for Leadership Day, Year 5 students enjoyed a visit from Adam Crouch, Member for Terrigal, who shared his journey in politics and answered their insightful questions. Adam discussed key issues like the Wamberal sea wall, explaining that while the decision may not please everyone, it will be based on data gathered by the Hunter Central Coast Regional Planning Panel.

He shared that his path into politics began with volunteering and a close win, and he feels fortunate to be serving his third term. Adam credits his parents, a favorite teacher, and former NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian as inspirations. When asked about his guiding motto, he responded, “Always treat people with respect."

🌹 Yesterday, our OLSS community came together f 🌹 Yesterday, our OLSS community came together for a beautiful Rosary Day celebration. 🌹

Our students began with a heartfelt procession around our Patron Saint, followed by a reverent liturgy at the church. It was a truly special time of reflection, unity, and faith.

We also had the honour of presenting the Jack Costa Awards, recognising 30 students for their exceptional qualities and contributions that extend beyond academics—attributes like kindness, compassion, and integrity.

Congratulations to our Jack Costa Award recipients! You inspire us all to live out our values each day. #OLSSCommunity #faithinaction #Jackcostaawards #rosaryday
🟥 Day for Daniel – Friday, 25th October, 2024 🟥 Day for Daniel – Friday, 25th October, 2024 🟥

Today, we come together to raise awareness for Day for Daniel, Australia’s largest national child safety education and awareness day. This day is an important reminder that everyone deserves to feel safe, whether at school, at home, or anywhere else.

It is the perfect opportunity for parents, carers, and educators to talk with children and young people about their personal safety. When something doesn’t feel right, it’s so important for them to know that they don’t have to keep it to themselves. There are always people who care and are ready to listen.

Here’s what some of our OLSS students had to say SOUND ON!
